Celia is a GP working in Yate. She qualified in medicine at St Thomas’s Hospital, London, in 1990 and completed her GP training in North Yorkshire in 1995.

Celia is also a qualified Health Creation Mentor, being especially interested in encouraging and supporting a proactive approach to health, rather than the tendency to be a ‘passive recipient’ of healthcare. She says “it’s a wonderful thing to be able to give patients immediate help and support when waiting lists are lengthening and the need is great.”

Private practice is a joy to be able to offer as it is a peaceful time, without rush, for truly listening and respecting a client’s time; after all, this is a request for help after managing at home sometimes for a long time. It’s very much about helping people feel good about themselves and acknowledging this as their time to share their needs and develop a plan together.

Celia’s passion is in helping people to recognise how they can create their healthiest self, and to support them in so doing, whether it be before they succumb to illness or have been prompted to seek help by an existing one. Health Creation Mentoring is not necessarily for or about an illness itself; it also encompasses our energy, emotions, stresses, relationships, environment, and spirit as well as our bodies….. this is the holistic message she is taking into her NHS General Practice as well!

Testimonials

“Just wanted to say a big thank you for listening and helping me understand ‘me’ for probably the first time in a very long while! Your help and understanding has been invaluable and has definitely helped lift that dark, negative cloud I’d been under for a very long time. I feel more confident and positive about life in general now which is a great feeling.”

“Dr Lansley saw my daughter who I was very concerned about. She was professional and reassuring, incredibly supportive and kind in her approach. I left the surgery much more positive and felt that she had really listened. Thank you for providing a great service and having such a wonderful practitioner in your surgery.”

“Dr Lansley has a warmth that is evident throughout the consultation. I felt I could tell her everything and not be judged.”

“Absolutely fantastic, felt really cared about regarding my concern and not pushed aside about my problems. We even have a definite plan moving forward. Really pleased, thank you so much.”

“Really approachable, understanding and a really good listener”

“Dr Lansley was wonderful! She was keen to explain exactly what she was doing and the treatment that she prescribed. I would be very happy to see her in the future and to recommend her.”

“I have suffered with ME (chronic fatigue) for a very long time, feeling tired, depressed, to the point where some days I couldn’t even function properly.

I was fortunate enough to meet Celia at one of my regular doctor’s appointments; we talked about a more natural approach with the health creation programme, which was more me as I hate taking tablets and I’m a great believer in mind over matter, self help etc.

Celia was a great help, very caring and a very good listener…by the end of our sessions together I can truly say I felt 100% better in myself and I often use the techniques Celia taught me.

Highly recommend for anyone who prefers the more holistic approach to their wellbeing.”
