Lucy is a friendly, professional, family osteopath, who treats patients from new born babies (their mothers, pre and post partem) to the older patient and everyone in between. Through her success in treating one person in the family, she has in turn been recommended to spouses, children, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, grandchildren, neighbours and colleagues, the list goes on!

Lucy graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from the University College of Osteopathy (formally BSO), the oldest osteopathic school in Europe; having completed a 4 year degree in Osteopathy, Lucy now treats a wide range of musculo-skeletal problems. Lucy utilises a variety of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue massage, MET muscle stretching, joint manipulation and cranial-sacral osteopathy to name a few techniques.

As an undergraduate, Lucy cemented and now continues to develop her knowledge in key areas; Osteopathy and Obstetrics, Involuntary Motion Studies (Cranial treatment) and Functional Technique. Lucy’s dissertation explored a potential link between altered nerve/muscle development in children/young adults and learning disorders (particularly dyslexia) and is continuing to develop her knowledge in this area working with developmental psychologists and neurodevelopment therapists.

Lucy is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC); only those registered with the council and having undergone significant and specific osteopathic training, are legally allowed to call themselves an Osteopath, this title is protected by the 1993 Osteopath’s Act. Osteopaths have to complete a minimum of 30hrs of osteopathic Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year to retain their qualification.

I need regular treatment chiefly for my back (scoliosis), neck and shoulders. I have seen Lucy and Stephen since I have moved to the area and find them both very helpful. They listen, remember, understand, explain and suggest a different approach if the first one doesn’t help as expected. I have recommended them and will continue to do so. Thank you. M.E.G (Calne)

I have visited Lucy at the Ashfield Practice on three occasions to have treatment on a very painful shoulder injury.  My first visit absolutely reassured me that Lucy was the right osteopath for me, I found her and indeed the Practice very welcoming and reassuring.  Each time I’ve had treatment Lucy has been very thorough and informative about the treatment given and what my and her expectations are afterwards always sending me home  with a series of exercises to continue the healing process.  I am now at a much more comfortable place in my recovery and I owe it to Lucy’s knowledge and professionalism.  I have already recommended her to a friend. R.H (Chippenham)

Dear Lucy, Just to say a big thank you for easing my neck and headaches yesterday. I am really pleased that you are helping me along the “80+” path and look forward to the next session”. D.H (Chippenham)

I am very pleased with how my appointment went. The diagnosis was thorough allowing you to determine my exact problem. The massage left me feeling relaxed and very optimistic I will soon be without aches and pains and also able to sleep better. B.S (Melksham)
